According to BBC News today Men in their early 40s have the longest commutes in the UK, spending more than 67 minutes on average getting to and from work every day, according to a report published in November by the TUC. The analysis shows that commute times have started to creep up again after a short fall during the recession. The average daily commute is now nearly five minutes longer than it was a decade ago, with workers spending an extra 4.5 days a year travelling to and from work.
When online home office technology is so readily available and affordable to businesses it seems madness to expect skilled workers who live 2-3 hours away to carry out the daily commute. The stress and strain of the daily commute means more stressed and tired workers who are less likely to be performing at their optimum. Surely with so many office techonology tools i.e. Online screen share for meetings, VoIP telecoms for tracking calls per team member, conference calling and online CRM to stay on top of team activity per user many of them could work the majority of their time at home.
Home workers are far more productive as they do not have the distractions of their co-workers and they know that their bosses can see their activity remotely so nothing is hidden. icomplete CRM with integrated calls supports many small businesses who have teams working in the office, off-site, travelling globally and home workers. Why not trial it for free to see the benefits.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) survey of 2,500 people also found 57% did not trust the companies to handle their data responsibly. And 51% complained that they had been contacted by organisations that had misused their data. The CIM says personal data policies on websites should be […]
CRM with built in electronic signature software Business are looking at ways to automate signed documents for contracts, quotations, renewal policies etc. On 1 July 2016, the European Union implemented new rules for electronic signatures, giving them the same legal weight as their “wet” – or ink-based – written counterparts. The new eIDAS (European Identity and Trust Services) regulation has effectively put an end to a confusing patchwork of laws, making them consistent across every EU country. So why has it taken so long? After all, the idea of a digital signature or certificate that proves you are who you say you are has been around for many years. Businesses have been slow to adopt electronic signatures because “until now, […]
